swapping a 93 petcock with a gravity fed 97 petcock

swapping a 93 petcock with a gravity fed 97 petcock to eliminate fuel pump on 1993, can this be done please let me know what you think and if so what will need to be done where do the vaccume lines go

on my 93 i got rid of the fuelpump but i didnt have to change out the petcock at all. it works just fine. also the reserve works as well.
any info just ask

I tried to hook it up to the carbs without swaping petcock and the fuel started pumping out of the hoses just dumping into the carbs and spilling everywhere, what did you do
