Default Swappable Engines

Im in the debate about weather or not to repair the current, or perform an engine swap. I cant find any 93 900rr engines, so im curious what engines are direct swaps.

Any other years?

There isn't a lot of engines that swap in easy. You can try a 98RR motor, it should work.. anything else like the 929 or 954 doesn't fit without a lot of mods. I'd look into a rebuild to save yourself some headache's.

you can only only use the engines out of a 93-95.5 the engines are different in the 96-97 and the 98-99 are way different

Thanks Todd.

Im told the 3rd cylinder is scorn. I was also told i could have it honed, buy new pistons and rings and put it back together. The kid who told me this, already tore apart the engine so im left with a few boxes of assorted parts.

I am mechanically inclined but if i dont know how it came apart, i dont know how to put it back together. So just buying a working engine and throwing it in, seemed to be a simple task.
