Default Stator help. 95 900rr

So does any one know the details of a thig like this. My bike died mid cruise. Battery doesn't charge while riding. runs off the jumper cAbles. And runs as long as their is power in the battery, my guess is the stator/rectifier went bad.

My question is. Will a 96-99 for 900rr stator will work for a 1995?

Reason for asking. It's a better deal on amazon for the 96-99 item.

93-99 should be the same. I'm not 100% sure though. You should Double check on that. Do a charging system diagnostic test, procedure is here on the forum. Sounds like bad wireing or a bad battery or a bad rectifier regulator. Those normally go bad before the sator. Check it all though to be sure.

Thanks CBrentb. I don't see why it would be different. Yet eBay and amazon offering 93-95. And 96-99. As different parts. Rectifiers all seem the same through the years. But I'll do one at a time before I start buying things I might not need. Thanks again.

Ebay also shows different parts for different years so I'd check with Mr Honda to make sure you get the right bit.

no they are wired differently
but the rectifers are all the same, although i would do the upgrade on the rectifier that everyone else does also you should test ther whole system you might only have a bad rectifer..

for 93-to 99 900blades most people swap the rectifier/regulator for the 03-04 gsxr 1000 regulator/rectifier, they are $ 40.00 everywhere and work good, i can attest to that seeing i have 4 blades ranging from 94-97 with the swap and they work great!!

quick stpry : bought a ricks electric package last year regulator/rectifer and stator..
the R/R was toast less than a year later and not more than 2000 miles.. i was not pleased , to say the least..
