So as you might know i need a new stator cover and well i was pulling it off today and looking for a new one but there is a wire you will see it the pic. Was wondering if anyone know how to take this wire off or if it will come with a new one?

 

that wire actually connects to the stator itself. when you wpull off the cover it sits in a groment that is pearched between the front and back covers. you can take off the cover without worrying about that wire.

 

When I replaced my stator cover, I found it easier to disconnect that wire from the harness. The connector is under the seat. This way, you can bolt the stator in the new cover, then put the whole assembly back on the motor. Just make sure you disconnect the battery first.
