Speedo Healer?

What year do you have? More than likely you have to get a healer now because the tranny and rear wheel are spinning at a different rate than the factory set up. An easy way to check is to use a hand held GPS unit. $100 for a healer or do the math in your head to compensate. Or put a mark on the speedo for say 65 and 100mph. 93 to 95? speedos run off the front wheel and dont require a healer after a gear change. My 93 with stock gearing is off by about 11%.

If I may be a pretentious *** for a moment: all bikes can benefit from a speedo healer. In order to maintain odometer accuracy, manufacturers sacrifies speedo accuracy. Motorcycles are notoriously severely inaccurate, even with stock gearing.

Yes, and yes. It's not off by a hard MPH, but by a percentage. This means the faster you go, the more inaccurate it becomes. Mine is off by almost exactly 10%, so I can just do the math in my head. If I want to go 45, I get the speedo up to 50MPH. If I want to go 100, I get the speedo up to about 110MPH. Your situation may be completely different.

Ok, its not hard at all. All you willl need is a computer and a gps. If you dont own one just borrow a friends. if you drive down the street you will be able to see how far off the gps is to the speedo in the car. (usually 4-5km) MPH will work as well. You will then need to do the same with your bike. This will tell you how far off your speedo is out. There is an online tool that I can send you to help do the settings on the device.
As for install it is all plug in play for the most part. There is no cutting at all. I can send you pictures as well. You need to remove your seat and the left mid to run the wires. ( the install takes less then 10 mins and the settings will take you around 1 hr to get them perfect. (seeing as yoiu have not done it before)
I replaced my gauges with the F4I ones and went digital. This is why Im selling the new one I have.
As for the front wheel, its hard to find them at a good price. Its is a direct bolt on. ( I have completed this as well.
