Default Speeding at over a 100mph

I was talking to a friend about speeding tickets in Minnesota. He was saying that they just passed a law that if you get caught going over a 100 mph, you will automatically lose your license for 6 months. Is there any truth to that?

I know that here in texas a friend of mine was going a little over a hundred in a constuction zone and he slept in jail and got a pretty hefty fine. Johnny

Yup......that is in fact a law here. Just passed last year. Be careful. If you're already going that fast you might as well run, as dumb as THAT is. Simply dont go that fast around the cities.......save it for the back woods country and you'll be fine. But yes, it's true.

If you do over 100 on public roads and get caught you deserve it. Doing 135 in a 35 you deserve to never ride on the streets again.

After that 218mph moron in the summer of '05, I don't doubt that the state has had a lot of pressure to set an example.

NOTE: I don't believe that guy was going 218mph... 170mph tops. He was riding an 1100XX!
