Default rims fitment

Anyone know if a 98 rear rim will direct replace a 93-94 rear rim??

anything different besides the LOOK??

Kinda curious about this myself. I want to go to a 6 inch rear on mine.

1st of all ...there is not a CBR900 that has a 6" wheel...only the 929, 954, 1000RR have those. All CBR900RR's 93-99 have 5.5" rear wheel designed for a 180/55-17 tire
There are some subtle differences between the cush drives and such, but if you use ALL of the newer bikes parts it should fit ( cush drive, sprocket carrier, wheel spacers, ect)

Sorry, should have clarified. Was woundering if a 929 or 954 6 inch rim would bolt up. But thanks for the response. My main concern was if the axle diameters were the same? If they are, everything else is gravy.
