Default REDLINE

I just bought my CBR 900RR recently and havn't really had the opportunity to get on it real hard.

Do you have to shift at the redline?

How do you know you've gone to high?

Will it kick out of gear or anything funny?

I don't want to be on the bike hauling a?@ when I find out, any help would be appreciated!

wont kick you out of gear, you cant go past it because it has a LIMITER

just glance down and shift around 12- 12-5

don't redline. it sounds as you have limited experience with motorized vehicles. take it easy. shifting around 4 - 5k rpm, with quick, clean shifting motions will put you way out ahead of traffic. once that bike gets up around 6k plus rpm you had better be going in a straight line. take it easy.
