use these, the install is pretty straight forward.
Pit Bull Motorcycle Stands & Accessories: Insert Kit for 6mm spools

ive had them on my f3 for a couple years and havent had any issues with them.

sorry ambeos,
i've been working overtime, summertime is like that for me.. anyway..
i personally dont use the spools.
i have the old style lifts, where it swings up under the flat part of the swingarm..
and also my flat floor jack..

if youre dead set on using the 8mm, youre going to need to have some sort of mount welded to the swing arm. I wouldnt trust just drilling and tapping it directly.

Why not just get yourself two square plates of steel that fit inside the swing, drill and tap 8mm threads to them, then drill 8mm holes to the swing, put the plates inside the arms (be sure they don't hit the axel tensioners) and screw the spools through the swing into the plates. Bit of fishing but not impossible. Although I don't know does the 900rr rear swing have straight sides, that would be pretty much mandatory. Of course you could put a nut at the end of a magnet pen and do the same with that but the purpose of the plates is to divide the load to a bigger area.

Mattson: yes the blades have a striaght section of the arm to mount to, im going to stick with the lift i just bought for a while i guess i have to much other stuff thats needs attention on the bike right now. I will come back to the spools since i did spend the money to get the Honda Racing spools i would like to use them though.

sjona: i will most likely go with what mattson is suggestion or at least a form of that idea i dont want a welded bung stick down from the swing arm i like it t be smooth lines on the bottom and top of the arm if i HAVE to i will weld them on but thats a last ditch effort.
