rattle ?
My 900rrs has been laid up for the winter and although she fired straight up after 5 months with no trouble at all she has developed a rattle. Its more of a "tinkle" than a rattle and only happpens when I throttle off.....its right before idle for a split second. I think it could posssibly be the cam chain and would like some advice please. I should also point out that initialy she was also hard to engage gears (sticky clutch plates ?) which disappeared when she warmed up and could the tensioner be suffering the same. Cheers for any help you can give

Check out the cam-chain adjuster/tensioner (CCT).
If it's a kind of "bb's in a can" rattle, that's your most likely area,
to focus on.
As for the clutch, check your cable adjustment.
If you're running with too much slack (more than about 3/8"),
that could be the problem.
While you're checking adjustments, verify the position of your toe-shifter.
If it's too high, you can be 'stretching' to make a clean shift.
