Default r/r change for suzuki r/r

hi was just wondering if its possible to change the r/r on my cbr 900rr for a suzuki 1000 one. i done this on my cbr 600 after buying 2 honda r/r and having to change them both within 2 year. so was wondering if its worth doing it on my 900 now that she is in the garage for the winter any and all advice greatly appreciated cheers.

It should work fine, r/r's are a fairly universal part. You just have to watch that it's 'beefy' enough for the load. i.e. the output current from the stator. The bigger bike's output higher wattage than their smaller kindred (for all those accessories, etc they seem to have). So your swap sounds reasonable to my understanding.
