Question regarding Carbs

I have a bike that I picked up as a project bike. Title and frame are 1992 cbr600. Looking a little closer, I saw that on the side of the engine it says 893cm^3. Does this mean that this is a 900rr engine or is there some other way to tell what engine is in this thing? Also I would like to know what size of jets to put in the carbs as I rebuild them. Currently it has 160 for mains and 40 for idle. It has individual foam air filters and a 2 brother slip on pipe.
Were the carbs the same between the 600 and the 900? Looks like they took a hammer to part of the frame by the top of the carb to get the carb to fit.
Thanks for the help.
Tim

The early bikes were 893cc. The later ones (like my '98) were 919cc. Can't say about the 600 and 900 carbs. But I think the stock mains for the early 900s were 115s. I do know the later 900s with the 919 were 120s. The differences in carbs between the later bikes and the early bikes were the jet sizes and the length of the slide springs. Everything else is basically interchangeable.
Hope that helps and isn't too late.

oh BTW it is not impossible to have a 9RR motor swapped into an F2 as a mater of fact my riding buddy rides just that bike he has pics of it on the board some where. So someone may have done that to your bike. (most likely the case) His bike is a glas especially to the un suspecting gixxer 600 rider that gets owned by an F2.
