Default Putting the 97 900rr back on the road

Okay peeps.. my 1997 CBR900RR has been sitting in the garage for the last 2 1/2 years. Everything is stock on it except for the exhaust. I'm ready to put it back on the road. Trying to get ideas on how much work and the things I need to pay attention to before riding it again...and yes (cringe) it has been sitting with the ethanol fuel in the tank so I know at least a carb kit will need to be done. Any ideas or advice from anyone that has brought one back to life after sitting that long would be appreciated. Working on a budget price to figure whenever I get started. Thanks! Sidenote: Yep -- I know I'm horrible for letting it sit that long!!

I would rinse out the tank a couple times, and the petcock. Pull the carbs, give them a thorough cleaning. While the carbs are off spray a little WD or similar penetrating lubricant in the intakes. Check the air filter. Once it running, check for worn brake pads on the front, oil & filter change, coolant flush & replace, brake fluid replace. Maybe some new spark plugs. How old are the tires, Air pressure? Then when winter comes maybe freshen up the forks, lube pivot point on shock linkage/swingarm pivot point. Check wheel bearing when getting new tires. They should be smooth and quite when on a wheel balancing stand. Then come spring take it to the track for some track days at NCBike with Roger Lyle's Motorcycle Xcitement RoadRacing School and Track Days.
