So SC33 = 1996-1999 ? Can you provide a little history? When was the last time it ran? What happened before it stopped? Plugs are ok, but are you getting a spark? Are the plugs wet or dry when you take them out?

Hi vanklang,

Please take a moment and pop over to the new member area to introduce yourself to the forum.
Where are you from, how long have you been on two wheels, what bikes do you have etc.
We also love pictures.

Cheers

Thank you! The Cbr is 1996 . Last time it ran, it was last autumn. Nothing happened, after winter it didn’t run. I have this bike for 2 years, the first winter I started it almost every day, but last winter I did not. Now the spark plugs were a little wet, I let them dry and after that, all made spark. I also tryed to push start the bike , but no luck yet.

Have you tried any starting fluid just to see if she'll kick off when trying to start? My gut feeling is that it's going to need the carburetors gone through.

Hello, you were so right about the carburetors!! Today I took the bike back to the guy that sold me the bike. He is the owner of a bicycle and motorcycle gear shop. In the past he told me that they do not do complex motorcycle service, but today he was kind enough to check the carburetors. 3 needle valves were stuck. Tomorrow hopefuly the bike will start.

The bike runs good now! Only thing is that petcock leaking . One drop of gas every 10 minutes. So the guy put a short rubber line from the petcock with a screw on the other end. I will have to replace that petcock soon. I thank you for your time and wish you all the best! I am very happy that I found this forum.
