hey guys i got a 97 900rr and i dont know y but it some times cuts out!! when im geting on it

maybe i need to jet it? im runing full Yoshimura race set up and race Intake

soo thats y i think it needs to be jeted or someing or maybe a bad plug?

o and im geting a clunking from the chain when i slow down to like 15 and slower and when i move it i looked at the chain and it all looks fine and the old owner said it has no more then 1.5k on it and it still looks new he said its a 0-rig chain

What u mean by cut out? Sometimes? when?

Check the rubber bush in the wheel that holding the sproket. Try to move your sproket vertically with your hand. If its move than most probably the rubber bush had weaken and you need to replace it.

 

na its coeming from the moter !!!!!!!!! its like its cold or someing maybe it takes a long time to get hot 1!! i dont knowww

 

Yeah you need your bike rejetted and this is my two cent from personal experience. Find a person who is use to working on carb bikes to jet it because every mechanic will tell you that they can do it but only a few can actually do it right.
Believe me a poorly jetted bikeruns worse than a non jetted bike

 

eah that or its electrical try your jets first, beyond that a short in your ignition possibly something like your kick stand switch.

 

ok ya you know what it feels like i dont know how much o you al here hace turbo cars but it feels like fuel cut!! like when the car over boost but im going to have it jeted to day !

 

ok i got it fix i put all new plugs in and it fixed it

i re oiled up the chain and re tensioned ir so thats fixed now

im looking for a good jet kit for it now so hit me up if you got one!
