Default OEM chain length for 99 blade

Good evening everyone. Havnt been on for a while. Hope everyone is good! Anyway, Im buying new chain and sprockets for my blade and find conflicting numbers. My manual says 120, but after searching posts on it, everyone keeps saying 108... Im staying 16/43. Which do i go for??

Thanks in advance,
Danny

Bumpety bump. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'd like to order the parts today if possible.

Many thanks,
Danny

not sure what the difference is between a 900rr and a blade but my 99 900rr takes a 108 link with 16 42 sprockets hope this helps

Hey OLDSCHOOL! Thanks for the response. I call mine a blade because its a canadian bike. Thay are called Fireblades in foreign markets and called 900rr here (fyi). All thats differant (someone correct me if im wrong) is that the foreign markets get way awesome-r color schemes.

I agree to the 108 link chain. I'm just curious why the Honda manual says 120 link...

Wonder what else is wrong in that book...hehe

Later!
Danny

I purchased a new chain/sprocket set and got the 108 chain. Stock gearing. Fit like a glove. Hopefully this helps!

Hey Scott, long time no...read? hehe. Thanks for the info. Im going with 16/42 in 520. Many say the thinner chain stretches easier, but I'm not worried since I dont drag (not my thing) and dont track(yet!!!).

Hope your good man. Cant wait for this LA weather to get warm again!! I'm tired of freezing everyday.

Peace,
Danny

Yeah, haven't seen you on the elevators in a while. I'm on the 40th floor if you ever want to grab some lunch. This weather blows. I'm ready for the heat too.

Nice chain set by the way!!
