Just a quick update- tested fuel flow, all is good there. Sync'd carbs, no change there. Put a thermometer on the headers, #4 is def. running cooler than the other 3. Pulled that carb back apart, checked and recleaned everything top to bottom on it and all seems good. Changed coil and wire for #4 out with a known good one. AND THE THING STILL RUNS LIKE CRAP!!!! I need help, badly, I'm about to lose my mind with this stupid bike. What the heck am I overlooking??? My buddy that runs a bike repair shop and helped me sync the carbs is as baffled as I am. I gotta be missing something. I'm not above considering any idea or suggestion at this point.

Thanks
Ben

Ben

I would check the ignitor box by substituting it for another 'working' one .. considering that it controls the coils and the data from the TPS its In my opinion the next logical step.... Can't be much else you've done everything and MORE!!!!!!
Good Luck !

I just wanted to update yall, I finally got it running right! I think it was a bad coil/ #4 wire. I had tried a different set of coils off of ebay, and had the same problem. I than thought maybe I'd take my old 2-3 coil and use it as a 1-4 since I know it worked, and I also substituted the #4 wire for my old #2 wire since I knew it also worked. At the same time I put a stock air filter in it instead of the k&n, but I really think it was the coil/wire that fixed ended up fixing it. Either way, it runs superb now and I couldn't be more excited! Too bad it's been raining nonstop here in Indiana
Anyhow thanks for your input- ride safe!

Where you at in the fine hoosier state? I'm just south of Ft. Wayne, surrounded by miles of flat, boring cornfields (and not a twisty road for many miles)
