New 93 cbr
Hey, I just bought a '93 cbr 900rr as my first sport bike (I toyed around with some older bikes first - 82 suzuki gs550 and an '83 yamaha maxim 650... just not quite the ride I was hoping for). I must say, this bike is damn amazing. I can't even imagine going to another bike at this point. I bought mine used with 30k miles on it, but the engine was rebuilt 2k miles ago. The bike had been laid down, so the fairings on the right are a scratched up a good bit, and a small crack on the right side of the front fairing, but cosmetics aside the thing feels pretty bulletproof. I've gone through alot of the posts here, and after having looked around, not many people have anything really bad to say about the bike. I've got the '95 (i think) front fairing on it, akrapovic exhaust, carbs jetted, steel brake lines, and thats about it.
Anyhow, just thought I would drop in and say hello, as this forum has been a great resource for info about the bike.
That said, if anyone has some cheap left and right middle fairings without cracks, I'd love to buy them off you. Colors don't matter as I plan on painting the bike a glossy white as soon as I have the cash.
I'd post a couple pics, but doesn't seem to be working at the moment. Perhaps later.

Aie, I rode it down to SF from Portland for a week. I only bought a bike after moving up to Oregon from near SF, and I must say it was an amazing ride. I miss the roads in ca though, hwy 1, Skyline, La Honda... so many amazing rides. Only complaint so far is that after a 12 hour ride back I was pretty wasted. Though really, I imagine that sort of ride is tough regardless of riding position.

Love it very much
I recently realized that this was the bike I saw back when I was 14 that made me want to buy a sportbike in the first place. Kind of nice that I ended up with it due essentially to luck.
Far as helmet speakers, I just had my ipod headphones in the whole ride. Ears hurt like a bitch after that, I'll have to look into the helmet ones.
