My wrists are killing me!
Yes, tighten your abs, move forward to the tank and loosen up your wrist. I had this problem before too especially when I ride hard. The wrist pain will eventually will put the pressure to your arms and eventually lead to your shoulder to sore. I tighten my abs (its inside there somewhere), and lean my arms in the tank, which take the pressure off from the wrist. Believe me, average physique condition is not good enough to ride hard a mean bike.
Anyway we sportsbike rider need to be in shape to live up to the tag. By the way now I ride like Rossi. lol

You're not alone.
I've just started riding and I have a similiar problem.
Actually when riding I'm fine.
But if I stop for a few hours (sleep overnite/wake up in the morning) my srists (especially my left one) is a little soar.
I guess it takes some getting used to...

this 900rr is my first rice rocket.
prob. lil much for me but i always ajust quickly
and haveing 1600cc
choppers most my times
but got off a bike for last 2 years
and well missed it alot
and i picked this 94 900rr up well pretty cheap
i traded a 150Gal. saltwater take coral and all finding nemo theme in it.
for a 200cc TMS (china POS) but then i traded even trade the 200cc for this 900rr and love this body style
had guy at local bike shop tell me i needed to buy this parts bike and swap all my stuff to the this 97 body i think it was
well its not as good as the 94 i dont think
i got big plans for this body.
but day 2 after i got it i jumped on it and went on a hour ride and wrist were fine
but my finger tips were numb. kinda feelt weird due to never having that on any of my choppers

I fixed this numb fingers with a throttle lock. I can lock it and take my right hand away for a few to relieve the numbness. Please don't try this on the twisties. It also helps with the soreness.
I had the same problem as you did when I first started riding. Its a combination of building the muscle control in the right places and being too tense cause your on a new, powerful bike. Just keep riding it and you'll see your grip losen up and you'll relaz. I got a set of Vortext clip-ons too and those are really pretty comfordable. I'm 6'4 by the way so I am probably more upright with my arm length, which helps.
