Dont need a " special lift ".. It's quite simple. If ur mechanically inclined u'll b fine.. Peeps who pay the " stealer " or someone else to do the work , DONT KNO BIKES!!!!

I am mechanically inclined, and I do have tools. However I don't have any kind of bike stand to get the front end off the ground. Can anything cheap do that job?

I've got a hydralic lift from harbor freight that cost $90. When I'm working on the
engine/front end that's what I use. I like not bending over! If you don't want to invest
in one and have a rear-stand and floor jack. You can lift the rear, block the jack under
the very front of the engine and lift it that way. Mind you, the bike can't move around
while it's lifted this way but it does give a pretty stable 3-point lift.
