Good for you man. I just changed my bike 2 months ago(98 cbr too) and most of the time she spent time in the workshop [:@]. Things are getting quite right and can't wait to hit the road again...
Wow that is awesome!
I'm going to buy a '93 900rr in about 2 wks...hopefully sooner.
I'll post a pic if I can and my thoughts. It's great to hear a bike that old can still make your hair stand on end!

everytime i get crazy on my 98 900RR she rears her ugly head and says "hey stupid, slow down or im fixing to get the better of you" but i love it and wouldnt trade it for anything, she's currently down for a restore but i hope to have her back up by the end of summer/ early fall if everything goes right.
she has about 28k on her but she was abused by the previous owner so im taking my time and doing things right where he rushed and ghetto rigged..like instead of a true fender eliminator he used a hack saw and made his own, then cut out the bottom of the taillight to make a lp light...retarted crap like that...im not touching the engine..its still running strong, im just giving it a tune up and replacing the front fork seals, sprockets/chain, some new fiberglass bodywork, fender eliminator, redoing the rear brakes, stuff like that might rebuild the carbs while im here..dunno yet.
Mynes a 93 with 42K on it, I rebuilt it for peace of mind at 38K. I love the bike, Ill keep it till this engine blows, then replace it with another! And ya, tons of power. swap the sprockets and get a pleasant suprise!
Its just thrilling and crazy to full throttle from the stop as you can feel the front tyre almost not touching the ground...
I had been using the bike for three months now and boy she is a master in twisties..
