Moving Clip-ons handlebars
Need your advice fellow bikers. I'm thinking about moving the stock clip-ons above the triple clamp. Thus raising my upper body to comfortable position. Has any of you done this? Any problems in doing this? I know this will lower my front end. Advice before I start working on it.
Thanks for any advice,

I have seen kits on 600F4I's that actually keep the triple tree placement the same and have a little brachet that raises the clip ons but Im not sure that they are made for 900's. Honestly though I dont think you are going to see a huge difference with your aching back from maybe 2 inches of height. What you will notice is your major loss of controlability in the corners. Only my $0.02 though. Good luck man! Post some pics if ya end up doing it.
Thanks for your advice grubeda7. I'm going to leave it be, I don't want any loss of controlabity in the corners.
I usually take the twisties pretty hard. I'll just change out the clip-ons.
Thanks again for the advice

Anytime, I would see if anybody else has ideas to throw onto the forum. Im just one guy and someone might have some insight from another point of view. But in my opinion, Honda Engineered the bike the way it is for a reason ya know? Ride safe!!!
Your absolutely right grubeda7 on the Honda engineering or any other bike out there. I'm sure they road test the bikes to get the bugs out before hits the bike dealers. Always Ride Safe.
moving the handlebars up even 3/4" would make a tremendous difference in longer distance riding. As far as handling unless your an expert level rider moving the handlebars up isn't going to cause you to have a cornering problem. When I mean expert I mean you are a racer like WERA, AMA etc.

i dont see how raising the handlebars up about 2 in or so would change much in cornering all it would change was ur position, not the rake,or anyone.
