Default LED swap

I would like to change my factory light bulbs (signals, brake) from standard incandescent to LED. Do I need a resistor? and what size?

They sell LED clusters at the local auto parts stores that will just pop right into the brake light bulb sockets. I've got a pair in my bike. Mine shine red though when they light up, so it works well with the clear lens I made. The red lights through a red lens didn't look so great. Kind of dark. So look to see what color they light up before you buy them.

Settling what? You need a GPS in your pocket on the freeway to know if he needs a resistor? Surely you are in the wrong thread?
