Hot Headlights

Is the headlights supposed to be really hot? My headlights seems to be hotter than I think it should be. Does anyone know or have the same problem? My headlight wattage is 55/60.

yea, thats pretty normal. mine is hot normaly and w/the high beam its even hotter.

I'm running a 90watt and it can fry any insects that stick on it as well..

I can feel the heat from my lights about a foot away with the high beams on.
