Here is my work on my Blade.
Hi guys,
Here in this thread I want to show you what I want to do and will do on my bike.
When I bought the bike it wasn't in good condition at all. It looks bad, it have problem with oli pan and other simply things. I have big love and it is 900rr.
So here is the bike when I bought it. You can see many defects.
At first I "undres it" : Icon_razz:
My rear tire was in bad condition so i prefer to burn it : Icon_couchhide:
I take off the engine from the frame and start working.
Man, that is trash !: Icon_doh: I'll buy new !
Shine like new !
Now it's time to disassemble the engine to change the oil pan.
That's the broken oil pan.
I bought new (second hand)
The alumin of the frame was going matt with the years. That make me to disassembly the frame and paint it BLACK matt.
I clean it with gasoline.
Here's the bike installation and new rear tire (second hand again: Icon_shrug
At this time oil pans are replaced and engine is assembled. It needs only new alternator cover.
I have to repair another little things like my steering damper, front fairing ABS and other, but I won't show them here because they are not so important.
That is for now. When the frame is painted I'll upload photos.
We'll see the end results.
PS. I hope you understand me. You can comment if you like/dislike my work/project

Looking good so far! Don't know how you can work on the bike outside like that. With my first bike(s) many years ago I had to do that and I would lose so many nuts and bolts on the ground, mainly because rust coloured bolts were nicely camoflaged by autumn leaves .....
It may be that I just couldn't make them out in the pictures but there should be a rubber "mount" each side of the tank where it rests against the frame. See here ... Honda Cbr900rr Fire Blade 1995 Northern Europe Fuel Tank (1) - schematic partsfiche ... item 7 "RUB.F/TANK SIDE". I'd advise getting them if you've lost them as they stop the tank rubbing on the frame. They are SO easy to lose though .....................

Yeah I know.
For that I put sticky notes and write from where are these bolts and put them in box. Before disassembly of any part I take a photo of it for sure. And If i have problems with asembling I look the photo.
Oh, and I use my bikes manual. It is very helpful.
PS. If I lose a bolt.... I'll buy new from someon who sell 919 on parts. Here in Bg have many.
