Help! Tranny question

so im rebuilding this cbr. got the motor to run but when i put it in first gear the motor stalls out does that mean the tranny is frozen up or could there be another problem here? how do i check this?

check you clutch adjustment, make sure it is adjusted properly...

When you drop it into 1st, does she lurch before she stalls?

Kuroshio, there is no chain on the bike so I dont know.

Wait... No chain? Are you putting it into 1st with the kickstand down? That's a safety feature. If the stand is down, the bike shuts off.

well im an idiot....the tranny is ok. didnt think of the safety thing....ty for the help!!!!!

No worries. Wait till you've had the bike a few years and forget about the kickstand switch after working on the bike.
