It does require rejetting on some bikes but I just assume most people are not running stocker pipes in their 900's so the rejetting is already done. Mine was rejetted for my pipe and the K&N works very nicely with no other adjustments.

Just to add more sense to what I was pretending about oil fluidity, I've noticed today my oil level was low. I can remember the last time I put some into the engine, and it wasn't that long since I did. So I think I'm burning oil and it's also going into my airbox one way or another (maybe when it's too hot, over when reving a lot).
That oil is def not made for this bike ...
