i thought it looked like a 98/99, its not a clear shot, but the front headlights look like it.

Yes, it's a 1994.
It has 98/99 panels, fairly simple swap. I've done it and explained it on this forum a number of times.
You can tell by the "triangle" on the frame. The verticle side of the frame (between the subframe rails) tapers from wide on the bottom to narrow at the top on the 96-above 900rr's. 93-95 have a non tapered piece.

 

this bike is for sale, and has 24,XXX mi. on it i think, but runs fine.... has some body work that needs to be done but i work at dixie rods and resto's so i can paint the bike... but is this a good idea to get it for a nice daily rider.... he's asking like 2,000 or 2,500

 

this is just my opinion, but i don't think anybody named spaz should ever own a bike

 

I just picked this one up for 1300.00 this past Friday. . i would have payed over 2 for it

 

i used to race 250 class mx, and i polevault, i am very very hyperactive, thats where i get the nickname... yes i usually am found doing stupid ship on dirtbikes, but not on the highway, i am very defensive wheni ride on the road!

needs a new battery it holds a charge for a short period of time but doesnt keep it. I havent checked the rectifier or the wiring harness yet, so that may also be the case. front brake pads need replaced. and the timing tension spring is loose. At first i thought it had a knock and was expecting to have to do some top end work, but after playing around with it, found it was a minor problem and although the knock is annoying it completely goes away after the bike warms up and the idle smooths out.

I cant beleive you picked that bike up for 1300, thats amazing. Looks clean as hell, the paint is almost similiar to my bike but a little darker. That bike seems like it should of gone for 2500 at the least. Hey spaz what class did you race when you rode 250's? I just got out of dirtbike but i raced 80's 125's and 250's got up to intermediate but wasnt quit good enough to make it over the hill to pro.
