Default crazy old dude.

i was riding my 900 today and i was going about 25 on a two way road and this car was going i don't know about 22. so i was just going to zip around him real quick and midway through passing him he swerved hard into the other lane definitely on purpose. so i slowed down, i gave him the benefit of the doubt. then i tried again this time he hit my bike directly in the frame slider and it punctured a hole in his car. and i was stuck to his car, thankfully or i would've crashed. he pulled back into his lane successfully dislodging me from his car. i was extremely pissed becuase it was obvious he did it on purpose. so i stopped at the stop sign and started walking towards him. figuring we'd call the police and sort this out. he snapped a picture of me on his phone and drove off. i mean wtf? i'm so angry and confused about the situation. he couldve killed me. what an idiot..

Did you get a plate number? Its a hit and run....
There was a story similar to this a while back, and the driver went to jail for it. Maybe he will be stupid and call the police on you.

I would have, but after the fact with no plate number or witnesses....What can they do?

Like I said, maybe he will call the police on you. If he does, you got him.

Glad to hear that you didn't go down.

You don't got him for sure.

As stated, there are no plates, no witnesses and no police reports.
If he goes to the police and you didn't he has the upper hand.
Can you prove beyond a resonable doubt that he hit you and you wernt trying to pass him say when he was turning left?
The police can't do much in finding and charging him, But you can cover your *** by having a police report filed saying you werent the one that ran from an accident.

Remember, Who looks better in the eyes of an officer, A poor old man that got a hit and run and reported it, Or a hoodlum on a crotchrocket that was in an accident and didn't report it or stick around.....

Just my .

His proof is a picture of the bike stopped and a hole in his door. Who ran? He did it intentionally and will go to jail if he comes forward.

Go to the police and file a report.

I'm with 74demon. You have to get your side on record, and soon.

If the old man files a report and the OP doesn't then Who ran? and the answer is the OP.

If the old man does does file a hit and run report and they find the OP before he files one, He is definitely up against a wall.
With no witnesses there is no way to prove he did it on purpose.
They can believe the poor old man or the hooligan on a crotchrocket (As we are all perceived in the eyes of the law)

Remember it is beyond a resonable doubt if you want him criminally charged. There is lots of doubt in this situation especially if the OP decides not to file a police report.

hey man, next time that happens, get back behind him and start repeating the license plate numbers to yourself out loud (it helps you to remember because you have visual and auditory memory working). immediately pull over when you can and give that to the police with the make/model/color.

that **** doesn't fly with me. he could have killed you

but even if you forget, like demon and others have said - don't wait and hope the cops learn about the situation from the other guy. get the report done and that way if he does call, you have him. glad you didn't wreck!
