clutch basket removal

RE: clutch basket removal
i dont have pics but theres nothin to it. pretty straightforward, i think the center lock nut takes a30mm (might be a 32)its staked on the input shaft tho. youll need to get a new lock nut. your also gonna need a spanner wrench to hold it from spinning while u torque it. 94 ft /lbs. i passed the spanner wrench, just bought a peice of thick sheet steel and poked the hole pattern in it. sorry i dont have pics, lmk if u get any more troubles

oh no, theres a washer underneath the lock nut, a cone washer.... obviously install the side out that says out haha. keep ur clutch packs all in order. i usually put them on a coat hanger or somethin, just keep em in order. your clutch lifter and bearing will come out but theres nothin special about puttin them back in. and like i said, grab a new lock nut, so u got a fresh spot tostake it to the input shaft

I actually had to get a torque wrench to get mine off. i just couldn't get it with the long handle. 30mm for sure though.
Is there a little spring with the ball bearing? i found the spring and bearing on the ground after i ghot the basket off. i was afraid i knoced the bearing out of a bearing pack at first. because it was right under the bike and i had my oil pan off. anyway, where does the bearing go? in the clutch shaft? i left it out and it works fine. i also added a couple sparkplug washers under each clutch spring for more bite. old moto trick.
Can't figure out the little spring though????? Thanks for any help.
