charging problem... aaaahhhhh
for some stupid reason, my 95 900rr has a charging problem and ive been through three batteries and the shop here in athens keeps telling me the charging system is fine but when i rode for about a half hour at night with my high beams on the bike wouldnt start after i shut it off. wtf man. any ideas anyone???
Deadspot the gixxer regulator is actually a good upgrade to the factory one on the 900rr...the cooling fins on it are bigger and runs alot cooler. Heat is what kills the voltage regulator...it runs way too hot. I went through the same crap with my 99...first the regulator took a dump, then tha stator did, but when the stator crapped it took out my wiring harness....double whammy....ive replaced everything now she runs sweet as hell.

Try Electrex
they specialise in R/R's and they give a years guarantee (Honda give you nothing)
and have big cooling fins, and start charging lower down the rev range. I have one on my 1000F and have been very happy with it.
