CBR900rr Motors

They'll all work, but I'd go with the same year or newer. The shift lever is on the engine on the early engines, and theyre 893cc displacement in comparison to 919 on the 96/97, and the 98/99. The only thing that I believe is different (that would even matter) is the speedo hookup, but you can use the one off of your blown motor. Your motor spun a rod bearing? Or threw one through the case? I am in the same boat as you, only I tore my engine down to "find a spun rod bearing" and found 3 spun mains in the case which at that moment, effectively totaled the bike money wise... So I've been looking too. There's a 98/99 with like 10k on it in northern California for like 1250, maybe it's what you're looking for? Cupertino ca to be exact. The funny thing is, these motors are gettin harder and harder to come by. I've been lookin around for awhile now, and pretty much found only two, that were slightly out of what I want to spend... Good luck!
