Carb tunning????
My bike just got picked up in Utah yesterday and its on the way to me in Atlanta. got 2 ?'s for you experienced people
The Altitude difference between Utah and Atlanta is 3000ft. I was told by seller and shipper to get it tuned for elevation change.
I have factory honda manuel on its way to me (thanks ebay).
Should I tune it myself or take it to stealership?
I have no motorcycle experience what so ever. on the other hand I am a BMW, VOLVO, MINI, Mitsubshi tech. I have been doing this for 5 yrs now. So I know I can fix a car.
#2?
If I dont do it myself do you think it would be ok to drive bike 7 miles to Dealership? or trailer it?
Thanks for the help.. Vinman

I think the first go around I will have the bike tuned by dealer. They more then likely have to change the jets and re-sync the carbs. So I think I answered my question. As far as riding it to them. I will see how it runs. Speed limit is 45 most of way there and 35MPH just by dealership so more then likely I'll ride it.
As I learn more about the bike I will end up doing alot of the work myself.

I would just ride the bike if you notice it lagging then take it in but not until then dealershios charge an arm and a leg. but if you are **** about your bike get a mechanic off cl ive gotten my bike synced and it looks like a breeze. If I had a manometer I would do it myself and save some money..

Your right on just ride it. I just got the factory service manuel yesterday and read it cover to cover. Only adjustments on carbs need to be above 5000FT. The bike was in utah at 3700ft. Now it will be in Ga at 1400ft. So I'm going to see how it runs. This thing looks pretty easy to work on. I do work on bmw, volvo, mini's, mitshbshi for a living. This will be easy once I figure it all out. A tech here actually has the tools to sync carbs and check valve lash. Time to get my hands dirty.
If anyone needs any info out of this manuel I will scan it for you. I may end up scanning the whole book and get it on a cd one day. Manuel is for 93-95 CBR900RR
