Default carb queston?

does anybody know how to adjust the carbs on a 99 cbr900. it feels like its running too rich. when i go slow less throtle it feels like its loading up. when i give it more throtle it clears out. the engine and carbs i got were in a wreck. would that have anything to do with this problem. is it easy to sync the carbs or would it be better to have somebody do it.

i just recently had my carbs sync... i have a book and it seems easy but you need a carb sync tool which goes for about $100 so its better taking it to a mechanic its aboyt and hours work...

i took the plugs out and the #3&4 plugs where dark meaning them two cylinders where running rich. so i adjusted the air fuel mixture screw on those two carbs and the bike runs awsome. no more black smoke. and its real responsive. so try some thing like that.

Yeah I agree unless you really know how to work on carbs it might be best to have someone who does do it, and you watch and learn.

Or go to a mechanic. Messing with the carbs can really mess up the bike.
