Default Funny noises. Help required!!

Hey everyone,
pity this is one of my first posts here but my 97 is making a funny noise as of late.
when i accelerate it has an odd dull clicking noise gets louder the harder i accelerate. the best way to explain it is the same noise as when we all (well, i did) used to put ice cream container clipping in the spokes of my bike as a kid. and it made a clunking noise. its like that but a bit duller.

i havent had this bike long so for all i know this could be perfectly normal

also when i accelerate hard and the revs get up to around 7k t sometimes, not always, seems to slip out of gear, not completely though as there is still alittle power but the revs fly up faster than normal. maybe sort of slips out but not quite? im not sure

any thoughts would be great

thanks!!

If the sound is as loud as i imagine..there must be something wrong with your bike
and the loss of power when you accelerate, might be because of the worn Clutch...you might want to check that.

the noise isnt too loud but its definately there. i did a bit of reading and it soudns like my clutch is slipping at high revs. does this mean new plates? or just a bit of tweaking?

depends on the plates condition and the clutch setting...if it just needs tweaking, you'll know that..if not, then guess you have to replace it... Saw some offer in eBay..maybe you want to check it out also.
