hi all .i was a forum member with my 954 a couple of years ago but i sold it and regretted it a week later...been througha few bikes in the meantime...built 3 cafe racers .gl100o .cb750 and a kz 750...sold the kz aND BOUGHT A NEW TO ME 99 CBR919 ,BEEN SITTIN AND LAID DOWN ON THE LEFT SIDE.only 9000 miles .so the transformation began about 2 weeks ago and is comming along pretty good.it had racing fairings on it with a few holes but bondo and flat black truck bed liner did the trick [this is the 3rrd bike ive done in this manner]i left the tank as it is in perfect condition after i cleaned it out.the thing runns like a champ after i cleaned out the carbs i discovered 4 stage 3 jet kits installed kand n filter and a yoshi full system ....paid 1800 for the bike and should be on the road in a few weeks .ordered up new windshield,hid kit.and racing levers cant wait to get the beast on the road .got pulled over by the cops on my test drive yesterday ..cop was dumbfounded when i took my lid off'arnt you a little old for this kinda thing 'he said i replied ''i think its the only thibng that keeps me going'.he laughed and sent me on my way with just a fix it ticket for the mirrors...lol not bad for doin 70 in a 35 lol...post some pics soon ....mike
