Any one help me
I have a 93 cbr900rr and when i first start it, it runs for about 1-2 minutes and dies, rpms go real low and have to hold choke wide open and rpms still go down then dies. Then after tryin to start it for a couple minutes it fires right up and runs just fine.Any suggestions?
Once the bike starts with the choke full on, let her run for about a minute or so. At that point, you will likely notice that the choke is no longer full on (eg: you can pull the choke *** up some.) If you do that, the bike will likely sputter and die. If you can't pull up your choke ***, that means the choke is not easing as the bike is warming up and will be overly rich.
What I'd suggest you try is this: start the bike with choke full on, let her run for about a minute to 90secs, push the choke full off. The bike should idle fine albeit at a lower rpm than when warmed up.
If that does not work for you, then there is something else going on.

For about $8, you can get yourself a can of "Sea Foam" from an auto parts store, Mix the recommended amount (maybe with a little extra) in the tank and see if it helps. That stuff works wonders for almost any fuel issue. It's always my 1st step in any diagnosis.
In order to keep the bike running I have to pull up on the choke or it will die.The choke does go down like it should but again if I let it go down then it dies. After it runs for just a minute while playin with the choke to keep it running it dies and takes about 3 trys to get it back runnin but when it does start back after it first dies then she runs just fine untill she sits over 3 hrs again and problem starts all over again. This has been a problem since last summer.
