Yeah, i have been looking at some different setups that people are running some i like, some not so much. Ill play around with what i have first see just how well i can get it dailed in then make a decision on an upgrade or not, i would like to have the bigger rotors and the 17 wheel swap though.I started wrapping the header and pipe tonight i didnt get done since the A/C in my garage isnt working about had a heat stoke in there. but here is a pic anyway.

This wrap it hard to keep tight and doesnt like curves very much so you have to band it with the SS ties every so often and at the ends.

For those of you who are interested in doing this here is some info

1. i used 50ft roll of the wrap (yes all of it)
2. about a dozen Stainless Steel zip ties

After that its just a matter of time wraping the pipes, USE GLOVES this wrap will eat you up like handling fiberglass insulation! make sure you put the ties on anyplace were the wrap is not conforming very well to the pipe and anywere you start or end a wrap. Try to get it as tight of wrap as possible (it may loosen when wet so you want it tight).Make sure while wrapping that you overlap the wraps by at least 3/4 of an inch(its harder for the wrap to move if overlapped on itself rather than just on the metal of the pipes) this will make sure the wrap stays put and you have no gaps for the heat to escape from.

i just noticed i got "Senior Member" status , i feel special

Anyway i was hoping to do some paint work today but sadly its raining, so ill post of the pics of the prep work i did last night. I wanted to paint the inside of the rotors to match the bike and the calipers.

In order to make it appear that these rotors came colored like i wanted them i had to do some masking of the rotors.
just mask off over the circles on the rotors then mask the rest of the outside. like this

Then you cut with a razor blade around the circles leaving the inner rotor(part that bolts to wheel) showing like this

Repeat process on the other rotor, then repeat the process on the backs of the rotors also. Some people do not paint the back of the rotors ive noticed i dont think that looks right since the backs are visible also when mounted on the wheel. Take the time and do it right so you dont have to pull them off again just to paint the backs of them. so you should have the rotors looking like this on both sides now

Now i am painting the calipers to match as well, my suggestion is anytime you paint a metal part on the bike DEGREASE IT FIRST then remove any big stuff with a SS Brush then sand it. My advice on the calipers is to remove them from the bike let them drain all the brake fluid out overnight then degrease them then the brush then sand paint wont stick to anything with even the slightest amount of brake fluid on it. So here is what you should have when your done prepping all of it for paint.

The rest is just actually painting the parts, everyone has their own way to do that. Sadly its raining today and im sick so im not painting the parts today ill post up the pics when i get them painted.

so as any DIY person leaving a project undone is not an option so even though i cant really hold my balance well due to massive ear infection (SCUBA Diver). i still went to paint the parts, i was going to paint the calipers orange as well but decided that it would be too much orange on the wheel so i went with chrome instead here are some pics of the final coats. Just let it dry overnight and i should be able to re-install them.

I have to admit i was worried about the chrome spray considering last time i tried to spray the chrome(many years ago) it turned out like crap, but these look pretty good. cudo's to the paint industry for fixing that problem!
