Default 95 900rr rebuild

So I love Honda's haha. I rebuilt an f3&f4 few.years back. Time to tackle this beast. Alright so I picked it up under the assumption that the motor needed to be rebuilt. So I was ready for that daunting task or if needed to swap engine all together.asking price was 500 dollars and I talked him down to 400 and he gladly accepted. Also was kind enough to help load the bike. I expected the worst when I wen to look at it. However, he had racing failings on it all intact. He gave me the stock failings. Now both need to be stripped and repainted which I'll do myself. On arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find everything was there it would turn on and turn over with the little charge left on the bad battery.
Checked for any major leaks just to see what I would need to fix. Turns out there were no leaks. He had the title and non open registration which as great.
Now when I got it home I eagerly started ripping it apart as fast as possible; inspecting everything as I went a long. Curious to see if it would start I drained old gas, changed oil, changed spark plugs, and ripped the carbs off and thoroughly cleaned them, cleaned out dirty air filter. At this point I replaced everything and threw New battery in. Push start and she fired right up. She needs the carbs adjusted a bit and possibly some fine tuning but she runs.
That being said they paints the frame which will need to be stripped shined and polished, seat will need to be upholstered, and all the hoses and wiring will need to be replaced.
The guy through in a new starter, icon jacket, Bluetooth helmet, and some other misc parts. Over all this is going to be a quick and cheap rebuild since ill be.doing Everything myself. Will keep everyone updated.
*it also came with nice d and d full exhaust!

I haven't used the site since I rebuilt f4. Completely forgot how to upload photos. I'll search on site real quick. The paint, wiring, and frame need some tlc unlike most of the 900 rebuilds I've seen on here but for the price I had to grab it.

Default continued

So having trouble with photobucket at the moment but taking pictures so when it works. Tore her completely down this weekend and went through her. Nothing seemed to besides visual stuff that goes bad after sitting for eight months. Also he had mentioned it would only turn over once and a while which I found a short going to ignition and fixed. So she's purring like a kitten and the d & d exhaust I love. Has that nice deep throaty feel I love. About to pull engine and strip frame and powder coat it black. Went out and bought all new hoses and wiring just so it doesn't look outdated. Picked up a nice pearlescent paint that I'm going to throw on her once I get all the mechanical stuff finalized.
I definitely got it for a steal. I told him even if engine needs replaced I was.going to buy it either way, becaus could always part her out which I would have hated to do. Luckily everything was there and she should be street ready within a week. Will keep updating and post pictures when I can.
