Default '94 cbr 900 wheel

Does anyone know if the wheels on the 93-95 are different from the '96+? I've been rebuilding my '94 and I think the guy I bought it off of had a different wheel. It is the same 6 spoke 16" rim, but the '94 has a speedo drive gear assembly that goes on the hub between the wheel & the left fork. This wasn't on when I bought it so couldn't tell speed. When trying to put it together last night I discovered that theres not enough clearence to fit it between the forks with the assembly on the wheel. I checked with my dealer and they can't tell what wheel mine is without taking the tire off to get the wheel code. I ended up putting it back together the way it was, no speedo, but would kinda like to know how fast I'm going. Any help? Thanks!

No difference. 93-95 are the same.......96-97 are identical and 98-99 are twins. Although I doubt there is any difference other than the rotor size.
Either way.....93-95 are identical.

YES! 93-95 IS SAME WHEEL AS 96-97! SPEEDO CABLE IS DIFFERENT! FRONT ROTORS ON THE 93-97 ARE 290mms! 98/99 FRONT WHEEL IS MUCH DIFFERENT THAN THE REST BECAUSE IT IS BEEFED UP TO HANDLE THE 310mm ROTORS!!! DOUBLE CHECK WITH UR LOCAL HONDA DEALER BEFORE MAKING ANY PURCHASES AND MODS!!!
