Looking to replace my 94 center tail cowl ( key) ...found a 97 piece and price is right. Looks indenticle? Can anyone confirm if a 97 tail section cowl fit a 94 900rr?

 

if your'e referring to the center plastic piece that holds the key, No it will not work. theres not as much difference as between the 98/99 and the 96/97, but there is a difference. Whaddya need? I may have an early one. (94ish)

 

Tks..for comment...well, my 94's tail cowl (one that hold the key) center piece is missing a tab, not visible but it's knowing that fact really makes me want to replace it. But my bike theme can only take black, violet (which is stock color) or yellow...I'm not looking to pay tons...just if the chances presents itself, I'll replace it....

 

No prob- I hear ya! Kinda bugs you when you know it's "almost" broken... The one I might have would be either white, or silver anyways....

 

Tell you what, if you cover return shippping costs and find one but in the wrong color, I'll shoot it black for you at no cost. I already have some honda black here so its really no biggie.

 

Estate, I'm looking for a rear cowl for my 93! Maybe if you get that one I can get yours! A win win for everyone. I'm painting it so it doesn't matter the color.

The tail splitter (the piece that holds the lock cylinder) is the same from 1993-1997

 

Great info tks...I saw one on eBay and it's a 97' selling for $15 cheap buy did not buy because wasn't sure of fitment? I'll keep an eye for bargains now...

 

I tried buying te eBay listing $15 but listing already ended? Exciter900rr & zaquert6 do have extra tail piece...since ur painting it, color don't factor. If I'm able to buy one, mine is available but like I mention, my tail piece has 1 broken tab on the left...if installed, you'll see a tiny gap like fingernail small..

 

I dont have one, what I meant was if you find one that is the wrong color, I would paint it for you.
