Default 900RR Ram air

Well, dont really need more power, but just tripped over this while searching.
Is it actually worth anything, or just a pile of c***? Figured it would be since noone ever talks about it?

i have one of these for sale. I am selling the cbr 900 rrram air kit for $75.00 .This kit was used for 2 runs and is being sold because my new carbs can not use this system. It made incredible horsepower in the upper range with the right airflowif anyone interested email me @ chrismxrider200@hotmail.com

I put one of these on years ago.... Installation was kind of a pain as you have to mount the radiator lower to give clearance for the scoop. I'm sureit might helpmaximise some other mods on a dragbike but any performance increase you notice on a basically stock, street ridden bike will be mostly in your head.... Plus, my bike ran a little hotter than it had been due to the new radiator placement.... It wasn't a drastic temperature increase (2-7 degrees depending on conditions) but any increase in temperature is not good in my opinion.

Jeff - Was it the same model being sold? I don't remeber where I heard, but wasn't there an evolution in this design?

One of the things I've heard people forgetting to do on this, is that you need to pressurize the gas tank. Otherwise your engine leans out. I'm sure someone knows alot more about this. Hopefully this starts some more conversation.

Pressurize the tank? wouldnt adding an inline fuel pump with a fuel pressure regulator be safer?

Sure doesn't sound like it's worth all the trouble...not even for track days

The one I used, looked just like that from what I can remember... I believe I even viewed that same picture when I ordered it...
I've never heard anything about presurizing the tank.... I can't for the life of me figure out how you would even do that.... I can't imagine this thing leaning out the air fuel mixture enough to cause a problem unless you were ridingat a constant150 mph behind a truck hauling medical grade oxygen that had a severe leak.....then....maybe....but still not likely...lol
