does anyone one know what parts will fit a 1998 900rr from a 929, please help.

 

im looking for a tank, muffler, headlight,taillight,tail fairing.

 

There is really nothing that will bolt right up to a 900RR from a 929RR. Like anything else, if you're creative enough, you can make anything work, but nothing is a direct bolt on. To use a 929 tank on a 900, you would have to patch the hole for the fuel pump and adapt a petcock. Then, you would have to build brackets to mount the tank. It would end up looking funny because the tank wouldn't follow the 900 frame spars at all.

A guy that used to ride around here put a 929 body set on a 900. He kept the 900 tank. He had to build several brackets to mount the fairings and re-work the front of the 929 seat to match up with the shape of the 900 tank. The tail didn't cover the subframe the way it should've...etc.... The whole bike looked kind of funny...nothing really matched up right. He did as good of a job on this as you could expect anyone to do but overall, it still looked like it wasn't right.

 

dont do it my bike actually had a couple of 929 parts on it when i bought it and it looked like crap espcially the tail fairing
