Default 900rr fairing help!! I need some!

whats up guys, I have a 99 900rr bike im restoring from the ground up... It came with some plastics and im needing to know whats compatable and or how to tell the diff between years...
ok, so my lower belly pans mounting holes do not match my mid fairings. the belly pan (lowers) came with the bike (so im thinking they are 98-99s) they also donot have the vent holes. I bought the mid fairings used from a guy off the net he seemed to think they were 93 94s. I am running the 99 upper fairing. so I guess my question is what mid fairings do I need? Will 95+ work? or do I need 98 99s? basicly at this point im wageing to see whats cheaper... replacing lowers which seem to be easier to find, but will the 93 94s mount to the 99 upper? plz help sorry so confusing just irrated right now hopefully you guys will get it!!

Other than styling (different shaped vent holes in the mids and the "speed holes" in the lowers) all mounting is the same. 93-95 mids had a more rectangular vent hole and all those little holes in the lowers. 96-99 mids have a more triangular shaped vent hole and no little holes in the lowers. They can be interchanged with one another though.

I Beleive that previous statement to be false... I have a set of 97 lowers that DO NOT match up to my 94 mids. they fit together but the mount holes do not... my question is will my 99 upper fit 96+ mids...

Feel free to believe whatever you like but I assure you that it is correct. The pictures below illustrate this.

picture one is of my '99 with all OEM plastic on it.

Picture 2 shows the mid from my '93 (which is the same as 1994 and 1995) mounted to the 99 upper and lower.

Picture 3 shows a 1997 (same as 96 98 and 99) Mid in place, also mounted to the upper and lower just as the '99 piece was.

LOL... thanks. That thing was the best money I ever spent. It sure beats laying on the floor woking on a bike.

Ok here is my problem... I have 93 mids that the bolt holes do not line up with the 98 lower that I have, I am not sure if it fits my 99 upper cause I have not received it yet... At first i was thinking that something may be aftermarket but all things are honda oem from the 93 mid to the 98 lower the middle mounting hole is about 1" off and the front hole about 1/2" off

Are you sure you're not lining up the holes that mount the lower fairing to the bike rather than the ones that fasten the mid and lower together?
