is the 520 kit worth doing and whats the advantages
im considering replacing chain and sprockets and regearing but may try the 520 if it really makes a diference
whats your opinion

 

I haven't really noticed a difference by going to a 520, but I don't race to get the full benifits of the lighter chain ect., this is the second time around for mine with the 520 conversion. I'm going back to a 525 next time around, just because parts are easier to comeby around me.

 

I switched to a Vortex 520 XW-Ring gold chain and 15-45 sprockets. Got em off eBay. Revs kinda high on the freeway but its geared for the track. 3.0 drive ratio is premium and thats what u get from 15-45. 520 also saves weight from a 530. My opinion, go for it... i wouldn't have mine geared any other way. be ready for a wheelie!

 

I also geared mine down -1 in the front and put the vortex 520 kit on it.....NICE!!

You wont be dissapointed.
