Since you replaced your regulator already, start by cleaning all your terminals and connector ends with either electrical cleaner spray(can be bought at Radio Shack) or wd-40 and a steel brush. It can be as simple as a bad connection. Any signs of oxidation like the one shown on the plug for the relay require a good cleaning for good connectivity. I'll in the meantime gather up all the locations of the grounds for you.

1- Battery (-) to ground
1- Cable from starter to motor casing
1- Green and Green/Black cable grounds (Location pending)
The rest grounds with switches (Pressure sensors, spark plugs, etc)

I still don't think you can rule out a faulty ignition switch

Unplug the ignition switch and place something inside the plug coming from the frame that conducts like a piece of aluminun foil or a stripped wire, something that conducts good(make sure you're not grounded when doing this or you'll get a small ZAP[:@]). If your lights and instruments turn on, then that's the problem. If not, then we trouble shoot the grounds, regulator(They do go bad you know, even NEW ones), stator, starter relay, etc.

In reality, all you need to jumper are RED and RED/BLACK cables because the BLUE/WHITE cable gives power to your fan motor.

HOLY SH*T DMACK! - I put the charger on BOOST and turned the ignition on and all lights came on. (horay horay) So I tried to start it for fun with the boost deal on it and it just clicked. I put the bat on quick charge. (THis batery is still under waranty for info) - I tested the power at the batery during the boost and it was at about 15.

So charge and go from there? try to return batery? I would imagine the batery wasn't the origanal cause of these termoils I've had. So thoughts???

The blinkers didn't work when I got the indicator lights and tail-light and such on (headlight not attatched nor front blinkers.) IS that cuz the blinkers arn't connected up front? The indicator lights were brighter than I've noticed while running.

Sounds like a load problem after all. Were did you buy your battery? IF at an auto store, they'll want to charge the battery to full and do a load test. If it fails, they'll either prorate you or replace the battery at no charge.

I'm not knocking Jap900 by any means, but don't mess with your charging system, cuz thats most likely not your problem. The VERY first thing you should make sure you have is a good battery. If you've got a **** battery, no other test is even relevent. You'd be surprised how common and simple of a problem that is. Start with that first. If you're still having the same problems after you have a known good battery, you have a short in your starting system(meaning power is grounding out before the load), in this case the starter relay. Post your results and I'll throw in my 2 cents to help if I can.

You probably want to start a new thread. It's been 10 years since this one has had any action.
