1993 900rr yes or no?
Hello to all, I have a question that I need help answering. I have the chance to pick up a 1993 honda cbr 900rr from a friend who recently bought a 2007 R1. He has said that the carbs need cleaning and other than that the bike runs fine. It is in good shape considering the age. My question is does the bike have potential or does owning this year and model present special challenges of ownership. I already own a 1998 cbr f3, but the chance to pick up a 900 is very tempting. Either way please give me your thoughts on this bike both good and bad so I can make an informed decision.
heck my 95 900 gets 47mpg but I agree with IIoydiecbr ride and see what you think. I have riden many bikes and I still love my 900rr just becuse it's perfect for me. Yes, owning the bike poses purchase problems for after market parts and sometimes imagination to makes things work but factory parts are still very readily avalible.
I agree with all, Ride it and see. I bought my 99 new and just recently sold it because I upgraded to an 05 R1. The 900RR is much more rider friendly and forgiving, In my personal opinion you will love it
I had a real problem finding a new wiring harness for my '93 900rr....no one makes it anymore it seems.
I did find a website that had them in stock and ordered one online, but then got an email back saying it was no longer in stock.
I have found a new stator at cycletherapy.com and I think they may have rectifiers.
If I can't fix the Blade anymore, if it ever gets to that point, I will just have to sell her or part her out.
