Default 17" front rim

Hello. I have a 99 900 and am looking to change the 16" front rim to a 17". Does anyone know a compatible bike that will allow me to change without having to make that many changes.

not sure but hope another bike would be a direct swap. if not it would seem like waste of time and money.

A friend of mine has an early model 900RR(not sure of year but it's the tiger blade) that he fitted a VFR750 17" front. I think he swapped over the 900's dics and either had spacers made? Can't remember cause it was a while ago and I now live 1000 miles from where he lives. Hope this kinda helps. He did say it was a huge improvement for front stability and confidence.

Pretty sure it was a '94. Maybe look into whether or not the VFR800 front wheel fits yours.

Me again. I typed '99 CBR900RR 17" front wheel into google (not that hard really) and the general consensus is either a CBR600F3 front or a VFR750 front. Speedo drive and spacer issues(if any) but hey, that's what I found.

I don't think any wheels are a direct bolt in. I ended up bolting a 929 front end on my bike. That is a direct swap.

My 99 900RR had a custom fitted CBR600F3 front wheel and used the CBR1100XX black bird rotors, If you can't find a definate answer here check out Fireblades.org and search for ajdapilot. He did my custom setup and has all the info on firebaldes, It is doable
Good Luck
Jim
