Default Yumyum 09 rebuild

My bike only sustained damaged to front rim and some fairings in the March accident. Only front fender was visibly broken, but nose cowl's tab broke as well. Since I had to get a replacement rim for the front and change the disk, and I will be off the bike for few more months, I decided to do what I always wanted to do to the bike.

After I got a set of OEM rims from fellow rider, I sent them out to get poweder coated in fire engine red. Got Galfer front and back disk as well as new pad.

This is how it looks right now in the shop

I will be moving the bike to another shop that normally work on my bike to do the followings: change subframe to the black powder coated subframe, change the nose cowl to new one and Y-cowl to carbon fiber, swapped out the tank side cover CF piece to new one and heat shield to CF as well. My headlight lenses were melting inside from the old HID I had, so I got a set from the guy who sold me the rims and will be changing to that lenses.

I might have to take off the integrated tail light. Flush mount turn signal maybe overlooked for safety check, but they might not let me get it with integrated one. In such case, I need an un-cut battery tray. Does anybody have one for sale?

It was so nice to see my bike with my eyes and touching her was amazing

Switch your HIDs from 55w to 35w. That will solve the melting issue.

And just find a shop that will pass you.

Yeah, it does change the look of the bike. I like them.

As for HID, I had 35W. I don't know why it was melting the lens. I change them to HALO with projector.

If the wheelchair was not rental, I would of change it to look like my bike haha

It's not the wattage, it's the cut of glass on the bulb. They are not UV resistant. Since the amount of UV rays is higher output from HIDs than regular halogen bulbs. Some people never get hazing, some people get it within a month or so. It's seems to be just a roll of the dice

Yumon, the bike is looking great! I thought for a bit you might be going white but I'm glad you stuck with the red.
