My buddy has a 08 yamaha r6 stock and I have a 03 cbr 600rr stock with a slip on.

He keeps saying he will smoke me and I guess im not really sure who would win since his is a lot newer....

 

These bikes should be nearly even in a drag race according to sportrider.com. The better rider will determine the winner. In sportriders performance test the CBR had a slight advantage 10.73 to the R6's 10.80 1/4 mile time.

 

It's going to come down to skill, size difference, and shifting difference.

 

I'm suprised on these results that you guys posted. I thought for sure that the R6 would be faster for that year. But yea a good/bad rider will def make a difference as well.

 

Thats interesting im surprised as well.
As far as driver we are both good I mean all you have to do is keep it floored and shift on the strip (from a roll) but I do weigh a solid 50lbs lighter than him.

 

There's only one way to find out....

Just do it on the drag strip.

 

Of course I would NEVER race on the street! Who does that stuff anyways?
